Michigan Blood is teaming up with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids on Giving Tuesday. For every attempted donation, Michigan Blood will donate $5 to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

“Blood donors are generous people who want to make a difference in their community. By partnering with Gilda’s Club, we are giving donors the opportunity to double their impact,” said Carleen Crawford, Director of Community Relations and Marketing at Michigan Blood.

Each $5 donation will support the free emotional healthcare, cancer, and grief support programs offered through Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

“A common use of blood donations is for patients undergoing cancer treatments. Donating blood is a great way for loved ones, and even complete strangers, to make a real difference in the health of patients in need,” said Wendy Wigger, president, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

The blood drive will be held on Tuesday, December 1, from 8AM - 7:30PM at the Michigan Blood Donor Center at 1036 Fuller Ave NE in Grand Rapids.
