Nothing better that being able to shop for fresh produce, meats, flowers and the like at a local Farmer's Market.

The Fulton Street Market has a "spiffy" new look and the new Downtown Market just opened this past weekend, and continues to grow weekly.

In addition, the arrival of spring in West Michigan also signals the start of the Rockford Farm Market.

This Saturday, May 11th, the Rockford market will open, which is an earlier start than previous years. Previously, the market did not open until the first Saturday in June.

Our news partner, WZZM TV13 reports that once the market is open, you can shop for local vegetables and other foods on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, through October 26th.

The Farm Market is usually located at the South Squires Street parking lot off of main street.
