A pub that will also cater to families is opening in the Creston neighborhood on Monday, July 1.

River North Public House is located on Plainfield and you may remember it as a tiki bar called Citizen. The bar closed last fall for roof repairs but the owner decided she was going to go with a new concept and new menu. She told the Grand Rapids Business Journal that she feels she accomplished what she was going for with this new place.

We’re seeing a growing number of families in the neighborhood, so we want to appeal to them, as well as the long-term residents in the area.

River North Public House says their menu will feature shareables, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and happy hour weekdays from 3p-6p. They will be open to the public starting Monday from 3p-10p. You can get more info on their Facebook page.
