On Tuesday morning the City of Grand Rapids received a call to 3-1-1 from a resident who discovered ducklings that had fallen through a grate.

City employees responded quickly and rescued the ducklings.

The City of Grand Rapids says the call came early Tuesday morning after a Grand Rapids resident went to investigate why a duck was pacing and making a lot of noise near Graceland Street and Houseman Avenue.

The resident found the ducklings had fallen through a grate and were at least three feet down in the water.
