Can You Identify These Five Grand Rapids Landmarks By Their Satellite Photo?
Recently, I had the opportunity to go up to the 23rd floor of the J.W. Marriott Hotel downtown.
From up there, everything seemed so different, and it took me a while to readjust so I could identify things I walked past every day from the air.
So I decided to take the challenge to you -- here are Google Earth satellite photos of five Grand Rapids landmarks. Can you identify them?
1. Let's start with an easy one to get your bearings.
2. And here's one that should be familiar.
3. Let's move it out to the country a little bit.
4. This one has been out of mind until recently, but definitely not out of site.
5. And then there's this beautiful chunk of nature.
Answers below....
1. Rosa Parks Circle
2. Meijer Gardens
3. Cannonsburg Ski Hills
4. The former Steelcase Pyramid, the future home of Switch.
