HOW TO SHOP SAFELY ONLINE!

So, whether you're shopping for kitchen appliances, there are some fabulous deals out there right now, kitchenware, electronics, tools, toys or whatever, here is what Norton says you need to watch out for according to the Fox17 story:

1. Shop trusted retail sites and use apps directly from retailers.

2. Use a strong password and shop password-protected sites.

3. Monitor accounts and use credit cards for better fraud protection.

4. Track shipments or send packages to a secure spot.

5. Install an antivirus software,  and if you do have it make sure it's up to date.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) also offers up a really good tip, use a credit card for better fraud protection and not a debit card.

One other thing, but very important. Experts say to look for HTTPS in the website URL. The BBB says this is a much more secure website than one with just HTTP.

Be safe, and happy shopping!
