A group of West Michigan bikers are helping in the battle against breast cancer.

This is the third year for the Bikers Against Breast Cancer Headlight Run. Proceeds from the June 8th event will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure West Michigan.

Our news partner, WZZM TV13, reports the ride starts at Teazers Bar and Grille on Ottawa Avenue NW Grand Rapids. Bikers will make stops at Pete’s Grill & Tavern in Byron Center, as well as Champs in Coopersville. The fundraiser includes food, auctions, a poker run and a raffle.

The group is trying to bring bikers from all over West Michigan and to ride headlights on (with pink banners flying) to continue to raise awareness and funds for the community.

Last year, nearly 100 bikers raised $9,700 during the Headlight Run.  This year, they hope to raise $15,000.  A pre-registration kick-off party will take place June 6 at Quaker Steak & Lube on 28th Street SE.
