ArtPrize 2015 Closes Artist Registration With 2,085 Registered Entries

The first year of ArtPrize featured 1,262 entries, last year there were 1,537 and the all-time record was set in 2010 with 1,713 entries.

This year's 2,085 registered entries is not final, but 2015 could reach a record number.

Artist registration for ArtPrize 2015 closed today at 5:00 p.m. The 2,085 entries includes 2,205 artists or artist teams. Over 2,300 artists registered in 2014.

International entries have increased by 16 percent when compared to 2014.

All artists still must connect with a venue to participate. Also, the ArtPrize exhibitions team reserves the right to make any final decisions around artists facing extenuating circumstances through noon tomorrow.

The final number of ArtPrize artists and venues will be announced on June 22 after artist/venue connections close.

ArtPrize Seven will take place in Grand Rapids from September 23-October 11, 2015.
