Those storms from last week sure left a lot of water behind and guess what, it's still here!

Although the flood waters should have crested over the weekend, there are still many closed roads due to high water and many other areas are still flooded.

Riverside Park on Monroe NW crested at 18-feet over the weekend but still has some of the river over its banks.

There were some areas so flooded that parking lots and roads are closed Fox17 reported. This park bench didn't have much of a chance, and trying to sit on it is probably not the best idea, do you think?

The Fish Ladder Park downtown was flooded and the current was swift. The city was asking people to be extra careful, to watch from afar and to keep recreational craft off the river for a bit longer.

In the Grandville area this lumber yard, maybe not an ideal location, was pretty much under water.

I don't know if this character was trying to drive through the Grand off Indian Mounds Drive, or just decided to park here, but it sure didn't work out. Maybe if pontoons had been put on the side of the truck? What do you think? They should rename it Toyboata!

As far as I can tell these are the other areas closed because of flooding:

Belmont: Konkle Dr., St. Lawrence Ave.
North Park: Willow Dr., Bailey Park Dr., Canright St., 4-Mile Rd.
Comstock Park: Abrigador Trail.
Plainfield Township: River Point Dr., Indian Dr.
Northview: Forest Ridge Ave., Riverbank Ave., Shady Dr.
East Grand Rapids: Reeds Lake Blvd. between Manhattan Ave. and Duchess Ave.
Caledonia: Cherry Valley Ave. between 76th St. and 84th St.
Between Grattan and Belding: Ashley Ave. between Belding Rd. (M-44) and 7-Mile Rd.

Oh well, spring is finally here. The flooding will go down and then we'll be able to enjoy the crocuses and daffodils.
