Grand Rapids Christian High School had a shelter in place order in effect Monday morning after receiving a threatening voicemail.

Wood TV 8 reports that the message was left over the weekend and school administrators issued the shelter in place order after hearing it Monday morning.

The school worked with the GRPD and a security consultant to determine the threat was false and the order was lifted at 10:30a.m.

Officials say the threat was similar to one received at East Grand Rapids High School, which resulted in evacuation and classes being canceled on Monday.
