Amway River Bank Run Street Closures For This Weekend

Tomorrow is the Amway River Bank Run, which means thousands of runners will be downtown Grand Rapids, Saturday morning and plenty of streets will be closed as well.

Tom Hillen over at WOODTV did a great layout of streets closures Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for the race.

Friday afternoon Ottawa Ave will close at Michigan Street around 3pm and then they’ll close Lyon between Monroe and Ionia around 6pm according to WOODTV.

The other downtown street closings start overnight. Some of the major closures that will happen: Monroe will be closed from Michigan to Louis, along with Ottawa from Pearl to Fulton, and Market Street down to Cherry Street.  From 6:45 to 9:30 am they’ll close the on and off ramps for both north and south bound from 131 to Pearl as well.

The 25k course has more roads closed including some into Walker. Check out the map from the run's website below.

All roads should be reopened by noon Saturday.
