Tonight's the night, July 7th, as the Amway Family Fireworks light up the Grand Rapids skies at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids at the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum. This is the eighth year of Amway’s sponsorship of the amazing, annual fireworks.

Of course, it's free and open to the public and kicks off at 5:45 p.m. at Ah-Nab-Awen Park with a welcome to all, and our National Anthem. The fun includes bands, family activities, games, food trucks, vendor exhibits and continues through the start of the fireworks display, which will start at 10:30 p.m.

Riverbank Events and Media, home of the Fifth Third River Bank Run is coordinating the live entertainment that features Hank Mowery and the Hawktones who kick it off. Hank Mowery has been a mainstay on the Blues scene in Grand Rapids. They'll be followed by Delusions of Adequacy, a Grand Rapids based band playing family friendly party favorites to get you rockin’. Next up is Sundry, and lastly, Hey Marco, a six-piece jazz & pop band from Grand Rapids.

In addition to live entertainment from 5 until 8:00pm, children (and children at heart!) can enjoy the Amway Family Zone, which will include arts and crafts, face painting, and yard games.

This year’s event, much like the previous events that Amway has been a part of, will focus on celebrating family, freedom and community.

Aside from Amway and Riverbank Events and Media, this year’s sponsors and partners include the City of Grand Rapids, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, Meijer, Snap Fitness, Kodiak Construction, The Salvation Army, Courtyard by Marriott Downtown, Amway Grand Plaza, Watermark Properties, MCS Marketing and the Fifth Third River Bank Run.
