"What's up?" - Uncle Daddy

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Uncle Daddy.

On March 2nd, seven cats were dumped off in carriers at Crash's Landing. They were dubbed "The Shy Seven." On March 17th, three more cats were left to round out "The Timid Ten." Crash's Landing believes all ten are part of the same cat family.

Taking in many cats in such a short period of time was a major undertaking for Crash's Landing. All cats needed to be treated. Four of the five girls were pregnant. The surprise appearance took up a lot of volunteer hours and also created financial concerns, but Crash's Landing took care of them all.

Uncle Daddy is one of this group. He was very shy at first, but has come around well. Today, he is one of the leaders of "The Timid Ten." He is comfortable in his own skin and is also a big comical. You can see both of these features on display in the photo.

Please adopt Uncle Daddy.
