Spring break brings some well-deserved time off for students. It's also a good time to remember that there are many lessons to be learned outside of the classroom.

Adopting a pet is a great way to teach kids about charity and responsibility.

Adopt Redford from Crash's Landing!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Redford.

Redford is easy to get along with. He's pretty chatty and if you have some wet food you've just gained a friend for life! He's not so much unlike many people we know.

Redford was born in 2010. He is FIV positive and had a terrible case of fleas when he first arrived at Crash's Landing.

Today, Redford is ready for a new home. Please adopt Redford!
