This Christmas, give a gift that is important and appreciated.

Give a home to Mixer from Crash's Landing!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Mixer.

Mixer came to Crash's Landing in late September of 2017. They were asked by Tiffany's Tiny Cat Rescue to make room for the FIV+ cat. Tiffany's was running out of space and couldn't let him roam freely with the non-FIV+ cats in their care.  Fortunately, Crash's Landing had an opening and immediately welcomed Mixer.

Crash's Landing specializes in housing FIV+ (feline immunodeficiency virus) cats at Big Sid's Sanctuary. It's important to note that non-FIV+ cats are at no risk of transmission from casual contact. The affected cat has to bite another cat and cause a deep puncture wound.

Mixer is very social and very well-liked, although once in a while he comes across another cat he doesn't like, so he would do best in a home where he is the only cat. How about your home?

Please adopt Mixer!
