Change can be hard, but change is often necessary.

It took a couple of months to convince Lorraine to come indoors out of the cold. Now she is ready for the next step, a permanent home.

Can you adopt Lorraine?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Lorraine.

Lorraine was first spotted as a stray last September. Despite all attempts, she wanted no part of coming indoors. Finally, in mid-November she changed her mind and was welcomed inside a friendly home.

Lorraine was soon taken to a veterinarian where it was discovered that she had Feline Leukemia. Knowing that Big Sid's at Crash's Landing provides a home for cats with Feline Leukemia, they soon received a call and welcomed her in.

Lorraine is quiet but very loving and would make a great addition to your family!
