Crash's Landing answered the call when another rescue center asked for help, now Crash's Landing is asking you to answer their call for a home for Hazelnut!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Hazelnut.

Crash's Landing first heard about Hazelnut on Jan. 24, 2019, when they received a call from Jenison Animal Hospital. Crash's Landing keeps in contact with several local rescues and they give Crash's Landing a call when a cat tests positive for FIV. Hazelnut had tested positive for Feline Leukemia and FIV, so Crash's Landing was contacted. Hazelnut soon came to Big Sid's Sanctuary, Crash's Landing's home for FIV+ cats.

Hazelnut has adjusted well to life at the shelter. She is a happy cat, but also not afraid to stick up for herself among other cats. She enjoys belly rubs, but isn't a big fan of being held. She would probably do best in a home where she is the only cat and a home that doesn't have dogs.

Come to Crash's Landing to meet Hazelnut!
