Guillermo has surprised Crash's Landing and beaten the odds before, now he's ready for the next chapter, a permanent home.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Guillermo.

The first sighting of Guillermo couldn't be more heartbreaking. He was found limping through nine inches of new snow on a cold February morning.

Guillermo was hurt and hungry, but too scared to accept food. He ran off. Luckily, a few days later, he returned and was brought in by a friend of Crash's Landing who took him into the shelter. He was suffering from so many different, serious ailments that Crash's Landing was surprised how well he managed to do on his own.

Guillermo was FIV+. He required narcotics and antibiotics. The list goes on.

Today, Guillermo has recovered from many of his ailments. He is ready for a new home and a new start.

Please adopt Guillermo.
