Summer is a time to have fun and relax. It's a time to watch birds and sleep on the windowsill...at least that's what Edison from Crash's Landing says! Adopt him today!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Edison.

Edison was not very trusting at first. He would run away if you even looked at him. It took three years of putting out food and water to earn his trust.

Today, it's a different story and it's been worth the wait. It didn't take Edison long to learn to love being pet and scratched once he finally put his guard down.

Here's more about Edison from Wendy W. who is one of his biggest fans:

Edison is so incredibly sweet. Once he figured out that the other cats were pretty cool he picked a couple favorite buddies and curled right up with them. He likes people, birdwatching, and sleeping on the windowsill. To me, he would do good with another cat in the home. He tends to be shy and a buddy would help him be more confident. Scared of the vacuum though.

Every cat at Crash's Landing has a story. Edison's is a long one, but it's not done yet. Help him write the next chapter and adopt him!
