They say a photo is worth a thousand words. We hope it's worth one adoption too. Please adopt Earnesto from Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Earnesto.

Earnesto arrived at Crash's Landing on July 18, 2018. He had many physical and psychological problems that he needed to overcome before he was well enough to be put up for adoption.

Earnesto was born in the summer of 2013 and he was painfully shy when he first arrived at Crash's Landing. He is slowly making progress, but needs a home that can provide him with continued love and patience.

Earnesto was terrified of any human contact. He would hide and cringe if someone even tried to touch him. Earnesto's struggles didn't end there. He also had extremely painful ear mites, a skin parasite, oral pain and more. During his treatments, he was fostered separately from the other cats at Crash's Landing. On October 10, he was finally well enough to be able to join them.

Earnesto is slowly making strides. He accepts being approached, gentle face strokes, and the occasional back scratch. He isn't outgoing, but he is slowly learning to trust. He needs a great home to help him grow.

Please adopt Earnesto!
