Let's make it a super weekend for Durante from Crash's Landing. It's time to find him a home.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 4,000 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Durante.

Five-year-old Durante was welcomed to Crash's Landing from Kent County Animal Shelter on Dec. 19, 2019. The weather was getting cold and Durante was happy to be warm and off of the streets.

There's always a story behind the names of the cats at Crash's Landing. Durante gets his name from Jimmy Durante, the narrator of the Frosty the Snowman cartoon special. Considering the weather conditions and time of the year, the name fits perfectly.

Durante is quieter than most cats. He gets along well with other cats. He is also FIV+.

Durante is easygoing and ready to be adopted. Please come into Crash's Landing to see him today.
