As the seasons change and temperatures cool the work that they do at Crash's Landing becomes more important than ever. Help them make room for more cats. Adopt Dave!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Dave.

Dave showed up at the front of a house in July just begging to be let in. He was following the cats that were indoors as they walked from window to window. The owners were ready to welcome him, but wanted to get him checked out first. They took Dave to the vet to have him tested, dewormed, and given flea control. Sadly, he came up positive for Feline Leukemia. Next, they brought him to Crash's Landing on August 13.

Crash's Landing gave him medical care including treatment for an ear mite infection, an abraded foot pad, greasy stud-tail, enlarged lymph nodes, a formerly fractured toe on his right rear foot, roundworms, giardia and lungworms. Plus, shortly after Dave arrived at Crash's Landing, he had the calici virus which gave him a very high temperature and painful tongue ulcers.

Dave never once complained, always cuddled, and took his meds like a champ.

How many of us would be able to do the same?

Dave is a tough, yet sweet, cat. Please adopt Dave!
