Chihuly is a new resident of Crash's Landing. He just arrived this year. He is adjusting to his surroundings and needs support to continue down the path to health and happiness.

Please adopt Chihuly!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Chihuly.

Chihuly was seen wandering around a neighborhood off and on for a few years before he was brought to Crash's Landing earlier this year.

Chihuly was born in the summer of 2014. He looked in rough shape when he first came to Crash's Landing and was found to have a long list of ailments. Chihuly had a fractured or dislocated right rear toe, bronzing of the fur on his forepaws from rubbing his eyes, fleas, a notched ear from fighting, a broken upper canine tooth, a severe feline herpes virus infection which was causing chronic conjunctivitis and he had Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

Chihuly has been given a lot of love and care. He is receiving eye medication, an affordable treatment that will likely need to continue long-term. He is adjusting to his life indoors. Chihuly enjoys, even demands, attention at times, but he'll let you know when he has had enough.

Chihuly deserves a home of his own! Please adopt him!
