We all need second chances. That includes Abby at Crash's Landing. This is her second stay and she needs a permanent home.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Abby.

Abby was adopted from Crash's Landing not long ago, but health issues have brought her back in.

Crash's Landing received a call in mid-November from relatives of Abby's original adopter who were now taking care of her. They told Crash's Landing that Abby wasn't doing well. Crash's Landing immediately welcomed Abby back in for treatment.

Abby weighed 11 pounds when she was initially adopted from Crash's Landing. When she was weighed upon her return she weighed 7.5 pounds. Abby also tested positive for Feline Leukemia.

Abby had diarrhea and a non-regenerative anemia that was proving to be life threatening. Thankfully, antibiotic and steroid treatment worked within a few weeks and Abby is doing better today.

Abby is now ready for a new home.

Abby is very friendly and loves other cats too!

Can you adopt Abby?
