The rankings break down all of the colleges in the country, but we wanted to just look at the 10 best in Michigan.  The big story here is that a few of the bigger and more reputable schools in Michigan did not make the list this year.  But first, let's see which schools did make the list.

  1. University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (#27 in the nation)
  2. Michigan Technological University (#146 in the nation)
  3. Aquinas College (#201 in the nation)
  4. Kalamazoo College (#228 in the nation)

  6. Lake Superior State University (#250 in the nation)
  7. Wayne State University (#260 in the nation)
  8. Ferris State University (#294 in the nation)

Where's Michigan State University?  Where's Western Michigan University?  Where's Grand Valley State University?  Not in the top 10, that's where.  Michigan State landed at #13 on the list (#376 in the nation), just ahead of Albion College and Spring Arbor University.  And, as far Western Michigan and Grand Valley...  They didn't even make the list.  Ouch.
