ArtPrize has announced ArtPrize Education Days is returning along with a new year-round arts program called ArtPrize Labs. Both will launch at ArtPrize Seven and offer opportunities for children and families to learn more about art.

ArtPrize is bringing a variety of programming to ArtPrize Seven this fall with ArtPrize Tonight. ArtPrize Tonight is 19 days of evening entertainment in three categories: On Screen, On Stage and Critical Discourse.

ArtPrize staff and volunteers celebrated the 2015 ArtPrize Volunteer Kick Off Party tonight at New Vintage Place in Grand Rapids.

For the third consecutive year Founders Brewing Co. will brew a beer for ArtPrize which will also help raise money for the event. This year's beer will be brewed in the traditional Kolsch style and is called Spectra Trifecta.

ArtPrize is looking for volunteers to provide free temporary housing for visiting artists at ArtPrize 2015.

The third and final $5,000 ArtPrize Pitch Night winner of 2015 was awarded at the Indianapolis Museum of Art on Wednesday night. "Whisper", a 70-foot voice-activated table setting by Emily Kennerk, was the winner and will be featured on the second floor of 250 Monroe at ArtPrize 2015.

ArtPrize and Waterfront Film Festival have both enjoyed tremendous success in West Michigan, gaining international exposure along the way. This fall, Waterfront Film Festival is set to launch the first ever film competition at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids.

ArtPrize Pitch Night opened its third year last night in Minneapolis. The program awards artists from outside of Michigan with $5,000 and a prominent place to display their art at ArtPrize. A work featuring sculptural piñatas, "Constructing on Deconstructing" by Carolina Borja and Amy Toscani, was named the winner at Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.

ArtPrize Pitch Night is expanding to three cities this year with events in Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Durham.

SiTE:LAB is an all-volunteer organization which creates temporary site-specific art. Its venues at ArtPrize have been award-winning. Now, SiTE:LAB is set to begin a two-year project with the City of Grand Rapids and Habitat for Humanity of Kent County called the Rumsey Street Project.

Today, ArtPrize made several announcements about changes and growth planned for 2015 including new opportunities for curators, an expansion of ArtPrize Pitch Night, more grant money and a new showcase event called ArtPrize Tonight.

Anila Quayyum Agha’s "Intersections" won the public vote at ArtPrize 2014. It was also co-winner of the juried award, earning $320,000. "Intersections" has found what may be the widest fan base of any piece over the six years of ArtPrize.
