ArtPrize Pitch Night is expanding to three cities this year with events in Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Durham.

ArtPrize Pitch Night is in its third year. The program brings work from outside of Michigan to ArtPrize.

Five artists are invited to present their project ideas at each Pitch Night event. Each artist is given five minutes to sell their idea to a panel of five local arts professionals in front of a live audience. Each winner receives $5,000 and a prominent location to display their work at ArtPrize.

Pitch Night began at Walker Art Center in Minneapolis in 2013. Daniel Feinberg and Alexander Hanson’s broken down Chevrolet Suburban covered by stairs, "Temporary's Pursuit of Permanence", won and was installed on the Gillett Bridge in Grand Rapids.

This year, ArtPrize Pitch Night events will be held in Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Durham.
