What's your favorite part of Festival Of The Arts.  In the past I've heard people joking that its name should be changed to Festival Of The Food because there is so much of it there.  Talk about arousing your sense of smell.  Festival offers it all up!  Whether you are looking for Italian, German, Vegetarian, Ribs,  Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc., you can find it all at Festival!

It's only March, but planning for ArtPrize 2012 is well under way. ArtPrize opens September 19th and runs through October 7th.  The community "art spectacular" will award a grand total of $560,000 in prizes this year. As in the past, the public gets to vote through social media separately, and will select 10 works by artists including the top $200,000 first prize, $75,000 second prize

Ofer MizraChi has such a good vibe!  He read somewhere that Grand Rapids Michigan was having an artist's competition!  Being an artist, he soon realized he had to come to this "Grand Rapids place!"  So, never being in America before, his travel agent booked him a flight, he arrived in New York City, he rented a car with GPS, programmed in Grand Rapids, Michigan and arrived here close to

Grand Rapids looks even more beautiful than usual and is filled with energy.  I can't imagine living anywhere else in the Fall and not being able to experience what this city is all about...Right Now!

This ArtPrize entry had a lot of buzz around it.  The video does not do it justice.  You HAVE TO see it in person, because feeling the experience is actually part of the whole thing. The artist who created it was nice enough to let me take the controls on Tuesday afternoon before I interviewed him about the piece. Check out the video after the jump!
