Wait a minute!

The Grand Rapids Griffins are hosting dogs Sunday afternoon? I thought Adirondack was in town to play the Griffins?

The Griffins are hosting the Flames from Adirondack, but are also having dogs, too.

For the first time in Griffins history, Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids is going to be dog-friendly.

WZZM TV13 reports you can bring your dog to the game this Sunday, March 22.

With the purchase of both a human ticket for $15 and a dog ticket for $5, you and your buddy will have a high old time. That's because nothing goes better with hot dogs, chips and cheese, beer than a good old bone.

This is actually a cool fundraising idea, because all dog ticket proceeds will benefit Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary in Lake Odessa.

Van Andel Arena will have two upper deck sections set aside for the dogs.

Now if you could just train your dog to bark encouragement for the Griffins to score.

Faceoff is at 4 p.m.
