Are You a Pronto Pup Fan? This is Your Winter Weekend!

One of the "must do's" in Grand Haven in the summer to to have a Pronto Pup, that delicious corn dog that people come from mile around just to grab a few, or six!

But now it's winter and they are closed. Or are they?

Every winter, Pronto Pups opens for one Michigan Winter Weekend to placate the made Pronto Pup craving that usually sweeps across West Michigan this time of year.

Guess what? THIS IS THE WEEKEND!

Fox 17 says that actually, Pronto Pups opened yesterday, Thursday, and will be open through Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

They sure know how to pick a weekend because if they had opened last weekend many of their customers may have blown into the channel and become an ice sculpture.

So this week and weekend, is the Pronto Pup's Winter Weekend Fix, and the waterfront stand is open for business for their annual event, and people are geeked!

If you have ever lined up for a Pronto Pup during their season you know how long lines can be, and in the winter it can be even worse since not only are you fighting crowds but the weather.

Today might be a good time to go because they expect lines to be shorter on a Friday, but Saturday and Sunday? Bundle up and take hand warmers because you probably will be standing a long time.

Is it really worth it, though? Fans say "oohhhh yeah!!" And by the way, the price is still $1.75 which hasn't changed in 18-years. Water is only a buck, too.
