Your House Can Smell Like Fried Chicken Over the Holidays
To say that 2020 has been a weird, stressful, crazy, lonely year is an understatement. I think it's safe to say we are all looking for ways to make the remaining days of 2020 smoother and as comforting as possible. And, nothing says comforting more than the smell of fried chicken!
With Thanksgiving and Christmas headed to the "will feel different column," KFC, Kentucky Fried Chicken is coming to the rescue again this year with their KFC’s fried chicken-scented firelogs! Seriously! They were a big hit last year, but sold out fast. Not this year as they getting their widest rollout ever, so says Food & Wine.
Ahh, I can smell it now, the KFC 11 Herbs & Spices Firelogs burning in the fireplace. I know, you thought you would smell a turkey cooking in the oven, but this will probably be the loneliest Thanksgiving yet with fewer people around the table, if any at all. And, maybe you won't even cook a big turkey this year. So, why not, at least the wonderful aroma of KFC! This years log is safe because it is a collaboration with the 100-percent recycled material log producer Enviro-Log. They came out last year and sold out right away, so this year, even though it will be online again, they will be sold through Walmart.com, and actually at some select Walmart stores. Any in the Grand Rapids area? Sorry, no information yet. But KFC did say the firelogs will arrive in Canada for the first time, though those details are still to come as well.
The firelogs will actually cost less than last year, probably priced at about $15.88. That's down from last year at $18.99.
So, what's for dinner Thanksgiving?
