What? Lionel Richie The Spokes Person for a Grand Rapids Company?
It's true! Acrisure, a Grand Rapids insurance company, announced Lionel Richie has signed on as its official brand ambassador. Very cool!
Fox17 reported Richie will engage with Acrisure’s social media communities to spread awareness for the company's services. He’ll also highlight the company’s shift toward becoming a Fintech services provider.
Wait a minute. What is Fintech? Fintech, is a combination of the terms “financial” and “technology,” and is the application of new technological advancements to products and services in the financial industry.
Richie said he chose to join their team for their innovative business practices and because the company aligns with his morals and professional ambitions.
"Acrisure could have coasted on its reputation as a massive player in the insurance industry, but it hasn't. Instead, it avoided the complacency that comes with success and has embraced innovation in so many ways. As a result, Acrisure has emerged as a true leader in the Fintech space and that's the type of company I want to work with."
Acrisure is really on a roll since they just recently closed a 15-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers for naming rights to the Steelers stadium, now to be called "Acrisure Stadium."
Even though Pittsburgh's other major league stadiums, arenas, all have names tied to the Pittsburgh area, Acrisure doesn't come in as a total "new kid on the block." Acrisure has ties to Steelers minority owner Thomas Tull after a 2020 deal to buy his insurance company. Tull is now a shareholder of Acrisure.
Little did we know that Acrisure operates in 14 countries and employs more than 14,000 people. And, Acrisure has seen huge growth over the past 8 years, goring from $38 million in revenue to more than $3.8 billion.
Acrisure's headquarters are located downtown Grand Rapids, at the Studio Park complex at Ottawa and Oaks.
