It's true! Acrisure, a Grand Rapids insurance company, announced Lionel Richie has signed on as its official brand ambassador.

Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will all be back for Season 3 of 'American Idol' on ABC.

And the episode came with some requisite reality TV drama.

Lionel Richie and very special guest Mariah Carey announced today they will tour together for the first time ever on the All The Hits Tour. One of the stops on the tour will be right here at Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

Lionel Richie, currently touring the U.S. and Canada, will be honored for his skills as a live performer at this year's Billboard Touring Awards. Lionel will receive Billboard's Legend of Live Award at the event, which takes place Nov. 20 in New York.

Who knew that legendary sportscaster Dick Vitale was such a huge Lionel Richie fan? Definitely not me, but on Monday night, Vitale attended one of Richie's concerts in Florida, and live-tweeted it for all of the world to experience.

Lionel Richie was the man of honor at the 2014 BET Awards, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his iconic work in the industry. And some of the night's biggest stars paid tribute to the legend, with John Legend, Ledisi and Yolanda Williams performing some of the singer's biggest hits.
