Isabella and Jacob remain the most popular names for babies in the U.S. More than 22-thousand-700 little girls born in 2010 were named Isabella, while nearly 21-thousand-900 boys were given the name Jacob last year. But the name Sophia has grown in popularity, moving into second place last year after ranking fourth on the girls' list in 2009. Emma, which had held the number two spot, falls to number three on the list, displacing Olivia which is now at number four. Ava is holding steady at number five. The top three names on the boys' list remains unchanged. Following Jacob is Ethan, then Michael. But more parents are naming their sons Jayden. That name is now in fourth place, up from its previous eighth place ranking.

William remains at number five. Alexander, which was the fourth-most popular boys name in 2009, now has sixth place. BabyNameWizard.com unveiled the Top Baby Names list, which is based on Social Security Administration statistics.
