West MI Pizza Joint to Stay Open After Surprise $20K Electric Bill

Good news! Gun Lake's Mitten Pizza will stay open after getting a startling electric bill for almost $20,000.

Mitten Pizza, located on M-179 in Middleville, shared the news of the surprise bill last month, due to a mistake from the electric company. The pizza joint said they'd be forced to close an agreement could not be reached.

Well, that happened this week!

Mitten Pizza posted to Facebook that representatives from Great Lakes Energy came to the restaurant and "a mutually beneficial deal" was reached over a pickle pizza.

Mitten Pizza thanks the community for their fundraising efforts, love, and support.
