Thousands May Lose Internet Services In July

I wouldn't have thought anything like this could have even happened but I was wrong.  When the FBI gets involved you know it's serious.  Why is it that thousands of people might lose internet service in July?  One word, HACKERS!

The problem first started when international hackers ran an advertising scam online.  Its program was written to take control of infected computers around the world. The FBI doesn't usually get involved in every hacking scam but for this one they set up a safety net a number of months ago using government computers to prevent Internet disruptions for those infected users. That system that they set up however, will be shut down this summer.

The FBI is encouraging computer users to visit a website run by a government security partner that will inform them whether they're infected -- and explain to you how you can fix the problem.   If your computer is one of the infected ones with this virus then after July 9, all infected users will not be able to connect to the Internet.
