Most of the state today (Thursday) saw its first major snowfall which meant people re-learning how to drive in the snow. And with that, it was expected that there would be some problems on the road. But a 34-car pileup near Paw Paw had to be the worst of them!

Around 9:15 a.m. 34 vehicles were involved in a crash on westbound I-94. Michigan State Police told WOOD-TV that a car slid off the highway and triggered the domino effect.

...other vehicles were traveling too fast and too close and began crashing into one another.

That portion of the freeway was closed until 11 a.m. Thankfully, there were no serious or life-threatening injuries sustained by anyone involved in the crash.

Let this be a friendly reminder to be extra cautious when driving in the snow. MDOT has a list of safe driving tips for the winter.
