The Y’s White Elephant Sale Needs Your Help

Y Camp Manitou-Lin is a branch of the Grand Rapids YMCA, but it has no boundaries. It serves children in all of our communities.

Each year for the past 74 years the Y Service Club holds its annual White Elephant Sale. The proceeds of the sale, which usually well exceed $50,000, support important capital improvements at camp.

It's only a few weeks away, April 26 and 27, so now is the time to come to the aid of all campers out there.  They need your donations...not dollars...but items that can be sold.

Check your business or home. See if you have anything that you can provide the club as sale items.  The club will take almost anything that is white elephant/garage sale type stuff. Some things that sell well include office supplies, clothes, building supplies, books, bicycles, furniture, fabric, carpet remnants, tools, stereos and TV’s, file cabinets, toys, plumbing fixtures, pictures, hardware, antiques and collectibles, boats, cars, and other interesting items that appear each year.

The club makes it easy. They own a truck and will pick up the items from your house or business and deliver them to the sale site at 3450 Plainfield Ave – next to Big Lots.

The club has a huge sale site that needs to be filled with products.
