The Rockford Area Historical Society announced a fantastic evening of music with Frank Sinatra, aka Mark Randisi, with the Johnny Trudell Orchestra.

The show is this Saturday, February 18th at 8 PM at Rockford High School Fine Arts Auditorium, 4100 Kroes in Rockford.

Mark Randisi, with Sinatra classics, has performed around the world, and headlines with Regis Philbin, Tom Jones, Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight and more.

It promises to be a wonderful night in hopes of raising funds for the new Rockford Historical Museum.

The Historical Society has a daunting task ahead them.  They need to raise $500,000 for the new museum.

That doesn't seem too much considering the cost of building today.  But, the building is already there and they need the money to remodel and prepare.

The Historical Society hopes to move into the former District Court building in downtown Rockford.  There, they'll be able to provide an interactive, visual, and viable museum.  The new facility will have rest rooms and drinking fountains, both lacking in the current building.  They'll have ample parking in adjacent lots to encourage increased traffic.  Handicapped accessibility with room to maneuver and experience the exhibits, as well.

Tickets for the Sound of Sinatra" are online at www.ramshow2012 and at several area locations starting at only $35.
