The City of Grand Rapids has released of list of 238 street construction projects which cover over 45 miles. It is a partial list of construction planned for 2015 and 2016. Additional projects are still being identified and prioritized.

Reconstruction of the US-131 interchange at Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo began today. MDOT says the new interchange will be open to traffic in early September.

Possibly the only not great thing about spring is that it marks the beginning of pothole and road construction season in West Michigan. The City of Grand Rapids announced Monday that a major intersection in Grand Rapids will close for two weeks in April: The corner of Michigan Street and Fuller Avenue NE will be getting a full concrete overhaul.

A bridge demolition will bring total closures to I-96 and M-50 in Kent County this weekend.
