Show 'em what you're workin' with!

The Grand Rapids Gold (formerly Drive) are looking for players to join the team and will be holding tryouts over two days. The Gold recently became an affiliate of the Denver Nuggets so not only will be they be looking for players in Grand Rapids but in Denver as well. Locally, tryouts will be held at MSA Woodland on 28th Street on Saturday, September 18th from 10a-2p.

If you think you have what it takes to join the team (or know someone who does), complete the registration form and waivers prior to attending. Proof of the COVID-19 vaccine must also be submitted. Registration and a payment of $150 must be completed by September 15. The number of people allowed will be capped at 100. Get started here.

Staff, including coaches, from the Nuggets will be present at the tryouts. Four people will then be chosen and invited to attend training camp in October.

President of the Nuggets, Steve Jbara, said they are looking for players who will help win a championship.

The Gold will have their first official home game at the DeltaPlex on Saturday, December 4. A 50-game schedule has yet to be released. According to their website, tickets will be available soon for purchase.

The Grand Rapids Gold unveiled their new name and logo this past summer. They recently announced Jason Terry as their head coach, whom add a successful 19-year run in the NBA.

The 2021-2022 season will be the seventh for the Gold.
