The Salvation Army is looking for help.

With the holidays just around the corner, we will, again, be greeted by bell ringers around the area, and they are looking for a few good people.  Actually, not just a few.

They will be staffing about 60 sites in Kent County with ringing between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. in 2, 3 and 4 hour shifts, Monday thru Saturdays.  It all begins on November 8th at Spartan Stores.

This is THE major fund raiser for the Salvation Army and helps to support, not only their Christmas programs, but programs all year long.  Their goal this year is $1.7 million.  That's up from last years $1.6 goal, but it can be done.  Last year they exceeded that goal with a total of $1.625 million raised.
