A local community group is gearing up for their annual turkey giveaway and reminding those in need that they need to pre-register for the giveaway.

In a social media post, LINC UP reminds the community that supplies are limited and pre-registration is REQUIRED:

LINC UP is hosting our annual Turkey Giveaway this Saturday from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. To ensure the safety of our staff and volunteers, you MUST pre-register by calling LINC UP at 616-451-9140 or using the link lincup.org/turkey-giveaway. We will not be accepting walk-ups this year.
Register early to secure your time slot. Due to limited time slots for each hour, you may not receive the time slot you select. You will be notified within 48 of the event of your time slot. Pre-registration will close once all pre-registration slots are filled.

The giveaway is set for Saturday from 9am - 2pm at the LINC UP headquarters at 1167 Madison Ave SW. Those who wish to get a turkey are asked to sign up for specific windows to keep crowding limited and help keep the event safe for patrons and volunteers.

The time windows are as follows:

  • 9:00am-10:00am
  • 10:00am-11:00am
  • 11:00am-12:00pm
  • 12:00pm-1:00pm
  • 1:00pm-2:00PM

The group is teaming up with Mel Trotter Ministries, Feeding America West Michigan, Great Giant Supermarket, and Meijer to provide the turkeys to those in need.
