Picnic Pops Concerts Begin Next Weekend

Grand Rapids Symphony’s D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops is just around the corner, and this summer brings more classic pop/rock to Cannonsburg than ever, beginning next weekend! Here’s what’s new at the 2017 Picnic Pops.

Three weeks of Top 40 favorites in July with:

The Music of ABBA featuring Arrival from Sweden -- Thursday, July 13-14

The Musical Legacy of Chicago starring Brass Transit from Toronto – Thursday, July 20-21
Women Rock! a brand new show with songs made famous by Carole King, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Pat Benatar, Heart and more – Thursday, July 27-28

Two very special, one-night-only special events in August:

Classical Fireworks, the Picnic Pops favorite, with the Cannonsburg debut of Music Director Marcelo Lehninger – Thursday, Aug. 3
Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan – The world famous ensemble that toured and recorded with Linda Ronstadt – Saturday, Aug. 5.
