Officials Remove Nearly 80 Dogs & Cats From Woman’s Home

Animal Control in Berrien County, Michigan, had to remove nearly 80 dogs and cats from a woman's dirty home.

According to WOOD, authorities in Hagar Township had to reopen some closed animal control facilities in southwestern Michigan to make room for dogs and cats that were kept in a disgusting residence.

According to Berrien County Animal Control Director Tiffany Peterson, the homes floors were covered in animal feces and urine and it was so bad when you walked on the floor it was mushy under your feet. The Hagar Township home contained 66 dogs and 11 cats. My question is, how do you afford to feed them all?

There was a woman living at the home at the time of the animal raid. The woman could face charges of animal cruelty.

Berrien Center had a new animal control facility built in 2016 that cost 4 million dollars but the county did not let the property go that had the other facilities. Good thing because its hard to find room for 77 animals under short notice. Once the animals get cleaned and are healthy again they will most likely be put up for adoption.

No word if the filthy home the animals were removed from will be condemned.
