Starting next month, the Michigan Secretary of State is going to expand their tag renewal self-service stations to also include licenses.

Right now, you are able to renew your license plate tags on the Secretary of State's website as well as at one of 135 self-service stations across the state.  But, Michiganders will soon be able to do a lot more online and at those self-service stations.

According to an article from the Holland Sentinel, "Starting March 16, Michigan residents will be able go online to renew or replace enhanced driver's licenses and state ID cards, view the status of the requested driver’s license or state ID, request and obtain a driving record, add motorcycle endorsement' to licenses and access other business services."

While the new system is being implemented, the renewal website and the self-service stations will be down from 5 pm Thursday, March 11 to 9 am Tuesday, March 16.

You can get all the info about what you can currently do online and at the self-service stations here.  You can also find a self-service station near you by using the Secretary of State's locator here.
