Meet Axel, Grand Rapids Fire Department’s New ‘Fire Dog’

The Grand Rapids Fire Department has a new four-legged member of the Bridge Street Station team!

GRFD shared the news on Facebook. Axel, or "Axe" for short is a Lab mix rescue puppy who's in training now. He'll be helping out with station tours, fire prevention efforts and community outreach.

They say Axel has already been on a few calls with firefighters. He's super friendly, and, apparently the cutie is also a donut thief :)
