A man identified only as Austin heard a strange noise while walking along the Grand River recently, a bark.

On New Year's Day, Austin saw a dog struggling hard to stay afloat in the river. Working quickly, he fished the little guy out of the chilly water.

Soon, several bystanders joined in to keep the dog warm until the police came to take the dog to a shelter, where Austin has vowed to follow up on the dog later.

Austin posted video of the adventure to his TikTok account. Jiovanni Lieggi then put it up on Twitter.
