Bath Township Police Video Saving a Deer Goes Viral

If you don't yet follow the Bath Township Police Department on Facebook, what are you doing with your life? Once again, they've given us their signature blend of top-notch comedy and policing, this time in the form of an adorable deer rescue.

In their latest viral video, two officers can be seen pulling a young deer from a window well into a basement.

The fawn, who they joke may or may not have been staking out the place for a future burglary, found itself trapped with no way out—until these guys showed up.

The Bath Township Police made quick work of getting the deer up and out of the well, and on its way to freedom. Despite the fact that it was free, and one officer even encouraged it with a simple but effective, "You're free!", I think the deer was in a bit of shock because it just stood there for a minute before the video ends. I'm sure he scampered off to the woods to freedom.

But the real star of the show? The *chef's kiss* of a caption the Bath Township Police Department put on this Facebook video.

Cracking puns left and right, they gave us gems like, "Our officers were having a real fawn time on patrol" and "He hoofed it outta there."

Terry R. said, "One of your officers had to hang on for deer life when that little one started kicking. It's a good thing her mom wasn't nearby. She wouldn't have been fawnd of what the officers were doing. She would have been a sour doe."
