Good Housekeeping’s Travel Awards, now in their fourth year, are all about showing travelers the best destinations and experiences out there. Staff and travel experts hit the road to explore cities, resorts, hotels, and attractions, snapping photos, taking videos, and rating everything from service and value to design and overall vibe.

Good Housekeeping praises the 158-acre park for its stunning mix of art and gardens. Visitors can stroll along paths and waterways featuring sculptures by Rodin alongside a rotating selection of contemporary pieces.

The gardens are just as diverse—from plants adapted to some of the driest climates on Earth to a lush tropical conservatory with birds, waterfalls, and bridges. Kiddos will love the children’s garden, which offers 10 themed areas designed to spark curiosity and play. Of course, there's all the special programs, and events, not to mention the Summer Concert Series.

Here's what one tester highlighted about their visit:

The gardens far exceeded my expectations. Everyone in our group, especially my 6-year-old son, loved learning about the plants and seeing Venus flytraps up close. A special exhibit had fun busts, including one of Kermit the Frog. Another highlight was the children’s garden with a treehouse.

Carol Kendra, Chief Operating Officer of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park says of the honor,

We are so excited that Meijer Gardens was named a Good Housekeeping 2026 Travel Award winner. This latest accolade reaffirms Meijer Gardens’ standing as a premier travel destination, attracting art and nature enthusiasts globally to see one of the finest horticultural display gardens and sculpture parks.
